For this lovely Easter weekend, I flew up to Colby College in Waterville, Maine. This morning we went to breakfast at 8 a.m. 1. I thought this was crazy because it is FRIDAY! 2. I knew it would be somewhat eventful because all my sisters friends I hear are nuts.
So I went into the dining hall 'Dana' and immediately the music on the radio grabbed my attention. They were definitely playing 80s music. Music along the lines of Michael Jackson, some Madonna and even hTe Foundations. Which by the way I LOVE.
Also, my sister's roommate, Amy, came back home the last night from the bar where she had many karaoke stories. One older man belted out Meatloaf "I would do anything for love" and they had quite a good time dancing to Dead or Alive "You spin me Round (Like a Record)".
So all during breakfast my sister and I were definitely singing along to them usic and it was wonderful! I'm not so sure about getting up so early again but it was very much an experience and of course we made a scene :).
Due to the fact that I am in the northeast right now I feel like I will have many 80s stories this weekend as I am in the land of side ponytails and Ray-ban Wayfarers.
