Nikki Prairie
So just when I thought I had hit all of the tapas restaurants in the 813 area, I found a new one that is practically right in my backyard. Tonight I tried Tina Tapas's in Channelside and it was phenominal. The restaurant was even bigger than Ceviche, with a lot of outdoor eating available. The only drawback is the parking, which I payed 10$ for..very annoying. The inside was very spanish and mediteranian looking, but was basically empty. (Although it is a Monday night.) The food was not at all dissapointing. We ordered several small plates and the Goat Cheese Al Forno was definitely the best thing we tried. The food was so good that we even opted for dessert. I am not usually a dessert person, however, I couldn't resist trying the amazing looking fried banana cheesecake with ice cream. I would definitely recommend Tina Tapas's if you are going with a large group, because it is a fun atmosphere with seating available for large tables. Also, they have an extensive menu that everyone will enjoy. (The only thing they are lacking are the chicken croquettes that I thoroughly enjoy at my favorite tapas places!) If you want to see more about this restaurant or make a reservation, just visit their website which is www.tinatapas.com
