Nikki Prairie
The Lodge on South Howard is a new restaurant that is supposed to be casual american cuisine with a twist. They have unique things such as cheeseburger sushi rolls. I have been there a few times recently, and although it is very popular, I think it's a little over-rated. The inside reminds me of a ski lodge, and all the waitresses wear very short shorts and fur boots. I was excited for it to open initially, because it is owned by the same person who owns Ciccio & Tonys, Daily Eats, and The Lime. These three restaurants are all my favorite places to go, so I thought The Lodge would be no different. However, it seems like the menu is just a compilation of all three of the other menus. I really wasn't that impressed with the food, either. It is overpriced for what it is, and the menu is confusing. I think this restaurant is a better place to go out at night instead of to dinner. The hours are also very strange, and the three times I have called to get takeout no one has answered the phone. I was overall just dissapointed with this place, and it is too bad because the location is great. I am interested to see how they do.
