Nikki Prairie

Cheap Restaurant on South Howard has been a place that I like to go out at night with friends for a while now. However, I had never eaten there before, although I heard they had really good food. This weekend I tried it, and it was very good. I ordered a few different things from the Tapas menu and the Mediterranean menu. I was surprised at how diverse their menu is, they have everything from pizza and burgers to ceviche, sushi and asian dishes. They had the most amazing bread with strawberry butter! The atmosphere is also very interesting, a lot of the tables are actually old car seats. They have antiques on the wall, but there is still a very modern, boutique vibe. Ironically, the food wasn't "Cheap" like the name of the restaurant would infer. I would say if you are looking for tapas, this probably isn't the best place to go. I think from now on I will stick to going to Cheap for drinks instead, since they have great prices for happy hour and amazing Sangria. If you are interested in takeout or looking at the menu, here is the link. http://www.cheapinsoho.com/#home
