Seeking adventure in foreign lands...

An Advertising/Public Relations Major at the University of Tampa, Makayla Dorland is eager to finish her degree and get moving on her dreams. Originally having enrolled at UT as a Management student, she has spent all three previous years at this institution. Currently living off-campus with a full-time job as a waitress at Splitsville and a full load of 19 credits, Makayla will not be experiencing the “senior slide.” After graduation she wants to “pack everything in the car and go.” Since moving from Alaska at age 11, she has moved several times since then and looks forward to fulfilling a goal of backpacking through Europe after graduation. “Learning a foreign language is a long term goal,” she says of her future plans.
