In need of change and sunshine, Samantha Andrade packed her belongings and made the trek to Tampa Florida. For the past three years Samantha called Queens, New York home enrolling in classes at Pace University and taking up bartending to pay the bills. During her academic career at Pace, she found her niche in Broadcast Journalism. Thanks to a professor, Samantha was given the opportunity to work for Transit Transit News station as a news reporter. The station offers big apple commuters the latest on railway and road conditions as well as the best place to grab a quick bite. Samantha confesses “Because of my work at Transit Transit I fell in love with the field.”
With her experience and new found passion, Samantha enrolled at University of Tampa where she will hone her reporting skills and major in Broadcast Journalism. Outside of her academics Samantha is taking on a bartending job as well as a possible internship.
