Arielle Hochman is a junior who just arrived in Tampa on Saturday. She is originally from Great Neck, New York. After she came to University of Tampa her mother moved to Queens where Arielle visits when she wants to go home. Her last days in New York were very fast but exciting; she barely had time to sit down. On Thursday she took the subway from her mother’s house in Queens to her friend Alex Halpern’s in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She slept the night there and they awoke with a busy, rainy day ahead of them. Unfortunately, Arielle had to spend the last day with her friend when it was miserable outside. Arielle said it was pouring all day long. The two drove into Manhattan and went to a thrift store called Beacon’s. Arielle bought a pair of some very handy rain boots. She quickly changed out of her flip flops and put on awesome rain boots. These boots saved her from the muggy, dirty streets of New York. The rain certainly was not going to stop Arielle and Alex. After the thrift store they went to Time Square to continue their shopping where only the best shopping is. Arielle was so excited to go to the H&M in the city, she said it is the best H&M there is.
After they walked the streets of New York, Alex drove back to Brooklyn and Arielle continued moving. She went to go visit her brother. He recently moved to the Upper West side to study law at Columbia. They walked around the city for the rest of the day and then Arielle had to take a train back to Queens so she could get on her plane to Tampa the next day. She now lives with her two friends right by campus. She is so close that it only takes her five minutes to walk to class. Arielle is very excited to be back in Tampa to continue her studies in Public Relations/Advertising.
